My projects

Fifteen days between Negombo, Colombo, Dambulla, Trincomalee and the inland mountains. Salt on the skin, tea with too much sugar and roads that smell of burnt corn.
Cameras and expired rolls have always surrounded me. My father taught me to shoot with the Pentax my mother carried when she was young. That first click is where everything began. Since then I keep trying films, in all sizes and types, waiting for colour to rise quietly in the developer. Each series here is given time to unfold, scanned, and eventually shared as it was meant to be seen.
“Colour is not chosen: it arrives with the heat.”
Black of streetless nights, yellow of monk robes, orange of spices drying in the sun and the impossible white of temple lime. That is the palette I try to hold in these images.
I work slowly: a few photographs a day, no screen to check anything, and the trust that tomorrow the light will return a little different.
